Sowing Instructions

Sow the seeds directly into the final growing container or garden bed, as radish generally performs best without transplanting.

Plant seeds approximately 1–1.5 cm deep in loose, fertile and well-draining soil. Maintain adequate spacing between seeds to allow the roots enough room to develop properly.

Water gently after sowing and keep the soil consistently moist during germination.

Sunlight Requirements

Place the plants in a location receiving approximately 5–6 hours of sunlight daily. Good sunlight supports healthy leaf growth and root development.

Watering & Care

Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, especially while the roots are developing. Avoid prolonged dryness followed by heavy watering, as inconsistent moisture may affect root quality.

Use loose soil without large stones or compacted sections, as this allows the radish roots to develop more evenly.

Add well-decomposed compost before sowing, but avoid excessive fertilisation during root formation.

Harvesting

Harvest the radishes when the roots reach the desired size and remain tender. Avoid leaving mature roots in the soil for too long, as they may become tough, fibrous or overly pungent.

Gently loosen the surrounding soil and pull the plant from the base of the leaves.
