Sowing Instructions

Sow the seeds approximately 0.5–1 cm deep in a seedling tray or loose, well-draining potting mix. Cover lightly with soil and water gently.

Keep the soil consistently moist during germination, but avoid waterlogging. Once seedlings develop 3–4 healthy leaves, transplant them carefully into larger pots, grow bags or garden beds.

Maintain sufficient spacing between plants to allow proper head development and airflow.

Sunlight Requirements

Place the plants in a location receiving approximately 5–6 hours of sunlight daily. Gentle morning sunlight is especially beneficial during warmer conditions.

Watering & Care

Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist. Avoid allowing the soil to become completely dry during active growth.

Add well-decomposed compost or organic fertiliser periodically to support healthy foliage and head formation. Keep the area around the plants clean and monitor regularly for common garden pests.

Harvesting

Harvest the main broccoli head when it becomes firm, compact and well developed, before the flower buds begin to open. Cut the central head with a clean knife while leaving part of the stem and side shoots intact, as some plants may produce smaller secondary heads.
