Taro / Arbi Roots – Set of 3
Grow your own Taro, also known as Arbi or Colocasia, at home with these healthy planting roots. Arbi is a favourite in Indian kitchens for arbi fry, curries and sabzi, and the young leaves are used for patra and alu wadi.
Taro is an easy, rewarding crop that grows well in large pots, grow bags and garden beds, and its big, heart-shaped leaves also add a lush tropical look to your kitchen garden.

Planting Instructions
Plant each root about 5–8 cm deep with the bud or growing tip facing upward, in loose, fertile soil rich in compost. Use one root per 12–14 inch pot or grow bag, or space them about 45 cm apart in beds.
Water after planting and keep the soil moist. Shoots usually appear in 2–4 weeks, depending on temperature.
Sunlight & Water
Taro grows best in full sun to partial shade. It loves moisture, so keep the soil consistently moist during active growth, while making sure the pot drains well.
Plant Care & Harvesting
Add compost or vermicompost every 3–4 weeks and earth up soil around the base as the plant grows to encourage more corms. Arbi is usually ready to harvest about 5–7 months after planting, when the leaves start to turn yellow and dry. Dig carefully around the plant to lift the corms.

3 Taro / Arbi roots for planting.
Important Note:
Raw taro contains calcium oxalate and can irritate the skin and mouth. Wear gloves while peeling and always cook arbi and its leaves thoroughly before eating.
Note: Root size, sprouting time, plant growth and yield may vary depending on season, climate, soil conditions and growing care.
