Sowing Instructions

Sow the seeds approximately 2–3 cm deep in loose, fertile and well-draining soil. Maintain adequate spacing between seeds and water gently after sowing.

Keep the soil moderately moist during germination, but avoid waterlogging. As the plants begin to grow, provide a trellis, net, stakes or another suitable support for the vines to climb.

Sunlight Requirements

Place the plants in a location receiving around 5–6 hours of sunlight daily. Gentle morning sunlight is especially beneficial.

Watering & Care

Water regularly to maintain slightly moist soil, particularly during flowering and pod development. Avoid excessive watering or stagnant moisture around the roots.

Add well-decomposed compost or organic manure periodically to support healthy growth. Keep the growing area free from weeds and monitor plants regularly for common garden pests.

Harvesting

Harvest pea pods when they appear full, green and well developed but are still tender. Pick regularly to encourage the plant to continue producing new pods.

For the best flavour and texture, use freshly harvested peas soon after picking.
