Its dwarf, bushy growth makes it perfect for pots, grow bags, window boxes and garden borders. Cornflowers are easy to grow, attract bees and butterflies, and make lovely cut flowers for small bouquets.

Sowing Instructions
Cornflower grows best when sown directly where it will flower. Sow the seeds approximately 0.5 cm deep in loose, well-draining soil, cover lightly and water gently. Seeds usually germinate in 7–14 days.
Keep the soil consistently moist during germination, but avoid waterlogging. Thin the seedlings to about 15–20 cm apart. If sowing in a tray, transplant the seedlings while they are small, with as little root disturbance as possible.
Plant Care
Place the plants in an area receiving full sunlight, ideally 6 hours daily. Water when the upper layer of soil begins to dry. Cornflowers do well in average soil and do not need heavy feeding; too much fertiliser can produce leaves instead of flowers.
Remove faded flowers regularly to keep the plant blooming for longer. Flowering usually begins about 10–12 weeks after sowing.
