Recommended Season

Sowing Instructions

Sow the seeds in a fine, well-draining seed-starting mix. Cover lightly with a thin layer of soil, approximately 3–5 mm deep. Keep the growing medium consistently moist but not waterlogged.

Pansy seeds germinate best in cool conditions, preferably around 15–20°C. Keep the seed tray in a cool location and avoid exposing it to excessive heat during germination.

Transplant seedlings carefully into individual pots or garden beds once they are sufficiently established.

Sunlight Requirements

Provide approximately 4–6 hours of sunlight daily during the cool season. In warmer weather, protect plants from harsh afternoon sunlight.

Watering & Care

Water regularly to keep the soil lightly moist, allowing excess water to drain freely. Avoid overwatering, as it can encourage root problems.

Use well-draining soil enriched with compost and provide a balanced flowering fertiliser as needed. Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage continued blooming.

Flowering
